"Darlington, Was Just Darling!"
When Jeff Gordon wins a race, Greg Biffle wins the next one..or so it seems.
That's happened three times this year. Each driver, now has three wins and
we're only 10 races into the season.
Attention: Will all drivers from Owensboro, Kentucky, please report to the
principle's office! Jeff Green spins Michael Waltrip, before the field even got
their tires warmed up. This little pissing match started in Martinsville and carried
over into that Palmetto Party under the lights. It looked like, from where I was
sitting (in front of my TV), that Mikey and Jeff aren't exactly best of friends.
Nascar said: "E'nuff is E'nuff", so don't be surprised if you see a couple of
Kentucky boys painting the walls white, before they can leave the track!
Kurt Busch hit the inside wall on the first lap. Then he hit an official with a
water bottle, swore at Nascar over his radio and ended up being told to grow
a sack and stop whining in the Oval Office after the race.
His little brother Kyle was all class, impressing everyone on getting around
Darlington, then the "Lady In Black", decided it was time for the rookie to have
a taste of the wall.
Mark Martin, running forth, spun it with a few laps to go, after climbing inside
of Kahne going for third, brought out the final caution. What was great was,
he grabbed a gear, came in and got some new rubber and finished fourth.
Martin after the race - "I punched the gas and that thing took off, like I
stepped on a cat's tail". He was having fun.
Darlington was full of drama, as it always is, let's pray they never take the race
away from one of our country's oldest tracks. About the only normal thing that
happened at the first night race on the "Black Bitch" is.....
Jason Leffler hit the wall.....again....huh, imagine that!
