"Yellow Dover!"

It's time for the spring run at "The Monster Mile!" For years, teams and fans would refer to it as the "24 hours of Dover!", until they shaved 100 laps or 100 miles off the race.

Dover is one of the roughest, beat-you-to-a-pulp, demanding tracks on the circuit. It's a mile of high banked tire-eating concrete, that makes cars swoop into the turns and fly out of them. Driver's love this place.

So can we plan on another 22 cautions like Charlotte?

I doubt it...the smaller spoilers WILL bring up the speed, but, after setting a new record for the most cautions in the history of NASCAR! I can only hallucinate that teams are going to give each other a little more room.

Believe me, a few drivers got taken out to the wood shed, after wadding up their rides Sunday night. Dale Jr. and Brian Vickers, just to name a few.

Side note: (this is gonna piss some people off) Junior's star is falling fast, his MOJO has gone away, even some of his commercials have become annoying...and call me crazy for what I'm about to say...but, America's new favorite is....Danica Patrick! Come on, admit...you really wanted her to win at Indy, huh?

Look for Ryan "Rocket man" Newman to grab his 32nd pole. Here's what the "King Of Friday's" had to say when asked what's causing all the NASCAR wrecks this year:

"Just drivers losing control, whether it's from -- if you want to talk up 5 to 10% of it from the aero changes, if you want to say it's some of the setup changes, if it's the race track, 10% of it is drivers just flat not being talented, if another 10% of it's the race tracks changing, crew chief changing, crew chiefs not making the proper adjustments. You can also attribute a percentage of it to, you know, mechanical failures."

How about this for a new NASCAR rule: if you get busted for being an idiot behind the wheel, make that driver race the next week with an air-bag in the steering wheel...and if it goes off, you park it! (lol)

You have to wonder if it's the SAFER barriers, that might contribute to it too. I thought I was watching a NASCAR video game for a while on Sunday. Honestly, though, do you think that with all the safety improvements made, and the fact that it's been a few years, since a driver has gotten hurt. Some drivers are taking more chances, knowing that they won't get hurt?

It's human nature, let me ask you this:...if you knew you wouldn't get hurt wrecking the car, wouldn't you stand on it, and hang it out there a little more?

Hey....drive it like you stole it, right?
