Burton's Best At Chicagoland

Burton wins Second Bud Pole
By Dan Sipocz - Cup Scene Daily.
Veteran driver Jeff Burton won his fourth career Bud Pole and second of the season Friday at Chicagoland Speedway.
Making his appearance near the middle portion of the qualifying session, Burton threw down a spectacular lap besting points leader Jimmie Johnson. Burton’s lap of 181.647 was good enough to hold off a charge by Brian Vickers by only half a tenth of a second.
“This feels really good. I’m proud of everyone at RCR,” said Burton. “Everyone on all the teams are doing a great job and all the cars are driving great.”
The rest of the top ten has five Chevrolets, two Dodges, and two Fords. Vickers came in second with Kasey Kahne third. Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Bobby Labonte, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, and J.J. Yeley round out the qualifying run-down. (more on Burton's pole win)
